Celebrating Women: Our Wellness Matters

“As women, we must stand up for ourselves… as women, we must stand up for each other… as women, we must stand up for justice for all.”

- Michelle Obama

Women Make History

March is not just another month; it's a jubilant celebration of women's remarkable impact throughout history and continues to have in our communities. Originating as a national celebration in 1981, Women's History Month transformed into a month-long tribute in 1987, giving us the perfect opportunity to recognize the extraordinary achievements of women in the U.S. We are the heartbeat of our communities—dedicated providers, unwavering supporters, fierce investors, and inspiring leaders! Whether nurturing, healing, creating, or advocating for our rights, we embody strength, resilience, and creativity. We are mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, and so much more. We. Are. Queens. Let's honor our history with pride!

We Have Inward Strength

When you hear the phrase "inward strength," what comes to mind? That unshakeable belief in ourselves transcends our circumstances and what others might say. We recognize our worth and make choices that reflect who we indeed are. Fear won't keep us down; instead, we give it a high-five and embrace it. We may stumble occasionally but rise, dust ourselves off, and power forward. Our resilience springs from that inner strength; we've got it in spades!

We Are Limitless

The very notion of 'limit' suggests restrictions, yet as women, we frequently encounter messages urging us to stay within specific confines of size, race, or gender. But why should we abide by such boundaries? Let's break free and revel in our limitless potential! We're not just creative problem-solvers but visionaries and innovative trailblazers who get things done ahead of the curve. Each day is a fresh canvas, and we seize every opportunity—sometimes even before the sun rises!

We Know How to Rise

Each day presents its own unique set of challenges, from oppression to prejudice. As a Black woman in the U.S., I've felt the weight of discrimination firsthand. But, despite these hurdles, we refuse to be defeated. We rise! We thrive amid adversity and gracefully conquer obstacles with unwavering strength. Yes, we might encounter persecution or pain, but we always discover the means to rise above it!

We Go Where We Will

Authenticity is at the core of who we are and what we do. The beautiful harmony of our values and actions guides us through everyday life. When we live in alignment with our beliefs, we cultivate our growth and well-being. Whether at work or home, we can shape our lives around what truly matters to us, forging a deeper connection with our inner selves.

Final Thoughts

As Women's History Month draws to a close, let's reflect on how we can keep honoring ourselves and the extraordinary women in our lives. We've achieved significant milestones in advancing women's rights, but our journey is far from over. Let's continue to celebrate and uplift one another as we forge ahead!

“There was a time when women activists asked men to stand up for their rights,. But this time we will do it by ourselves. I am not telling men to step away from speaking up for women’s rights, but I am focusing on women to be independent and fight for themselves.”

- Malala Yousafzai
