Essential Oils to Uplift + Unwind

“Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for healing.” — Ezekiel 47:12

What are essential oils?

Essential oils are concentrated plant extracts. They are made by pressing or steaming parts of a plant such as fruit, leaves, flowers, stems, rinds, and bark to capture the aroma compounds. Aromatherapy consists of using essential oils to obtain health benefits.

Patchouli

Patchouli essential oil is an incense and base note in perfumery. Its aroma is earthy, smoky, spicy, and musky. Its attributes are romantic, soothing, and stimulating. Its herbaceous scent also uplifts the mood and boosts mental clarity, while its expectorant properties make it effective in facilitating the relief of congestion and respiratory tract infections.

Vanilla

This warm sweet aroma helps soothe out-of-control emotions, calms nervous tension, and promotes a tranquil environment. As there is no true vanilla essential oil, Peru balsam essential oil is utilized for its vanilla-like aroma and soothing properties.
